High-Efficiency CPI Oil-Water Separator: Taking Industrial Oil-Contaminated Wastewater Treatment to New Heights

As industrial wastewater discharge standards become increasingly stringent, the effective treatment of oil-contaminated wastewater has become a major environmental challenge facing industries such as petrochemicals, machinery manufacturing, and steel metallurgy. Based on the principles of shallow-bed sedimentation and coalescence separation technology, the CPI oil-water separator is a highly efficient oil-water separation device. Its interior is equipped with multiple sets of corrugated inclined plates. As wastewater flows between the plates, oil droplets rise to the underside of the plates under the force of gravity, coalesce into larger droplets, and rise to the water surface where they are collected; simultaneously, suspended solids settle onto the upper surface of the plates and slide down into the bottom sludge hopper. This ingenious design enables the CPI oil-water separator to achieve highly efficient separation of oil, water, and sludge within a short retention time.

High Separation Efficiency

It can remove oil droplets larger than 30 microns from water, achieving an oil removal rate of 90%–95%, with the oil content in the effluent controlled below 10–30 mg/L. The corrugated plate structure significantly increases the coalescence area, promoting the coalescence of small oil droplets into larger ones and accelerating their rise to the surface.


High Shock Resistance

It is not sensitive to fluctuations in the oil concentration of the influent and is suitable for industrial wastewater with significant variations in operating conditions. It can treat wastewater with an oil content exceeding 1,000 mg/L.


Low Operating Costs

With no moving parts and relying entirely on gravity separation, energy consumption is extremely low. No chemical additives required (optional depending on water quality). Maintenance is simple, requiring only periodic oil and sludge removal.


Space-saving design

Compared to traditional oil separators, the footprint can be reduced by 50%–70%. Can be designed as above-ground or underground units to flexibly adapt to different site conditions.
