1. Project Background
A family-owned meat processing enterprise with a 50-year history in Bavaria, Germany, specializes in high-quality sausages and meat products. With the expansion of production scale, the daily volume of high-concentration organic wastewater generated by the enterprise has increased to 120m³. The main pollutants include high-concentration suspended solids (SS), chemical oxygen demand (COD), fat, oil and grease (FOG), as well as nitrogen and phosphorus nutrients.
In 2023, the German Federal Ministry of the Environment updated the Wastewater Quality Ordinance (AbwV), imposing stricter discharge limits on the food processing industry. The old biochemical treatment system could no longer meet the new environmental standards due to its low treatment efficiency, high energy consumption, and large sludge output. The enterprise faced heavy fines and the risk of production suspension, urgently needing an efficient, stable, and CE-certified integrated solution.
The technical team of YIHUA Environmental Protection conducted on-site surveys and water sample analysis, and tailored a treatment process centered on the YIHUA DAF Sedimentation Integrated Machine for the client. This equipment integrates high-efficiency dissolved air flotation (DAF) and inclined tube sedimentation technologies, specifically designed for the efficient separation of emulsified oil, suspended solids, and colloidal substances in food processing wastewater.
