The core process of our MBR-based plant seamlessly combines biological degradation with membrane filtration. Microorganisms within the aeration tank break down organic pollutants. Instead of a secondary clarifier, a dedicated membrane module is submerged directly in the mixed liquor. These microfiltration or ultrafiltration membranes act as an absolute barrier, separating treated water from activated sludge and solids. The resulting effluent is clear, disinfected, and low in nutrients, suitable for direct discharge or non-potable reuse. Our MBBR variants utilize specially designed plastic carriers that provide a surface for biofilm growth, offering a robust and stable biological process within a compact tank.
