Lamella Clarifier

The operational principle is both elegant and efficient. The system features a series of closely spaced, inclined plates (lamella packs) installed within a tank. As the particle-laden feed enters, it flows upward between the plates. Solids settle onto the plate surfaces under gravity, slide down the incline, and collect in a sludge hopper. The clarified liquid continues upward and is collected via effluent launders. This design dramatically increases the effective settling area within a small space.
